2023 – 2024 Guide: Navigating the Singapore Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)
Are you a secondary school candidate looking to pave your way into the world of polytechnic diploma courses? The Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP) could be your ideal path. This unique program equips candidates for progression into selected polytechnic diploma courses through a two-year Higher Nitec course at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE). If you successfully complete the Higher Nitec course and achieve the required minimum qualifying Higher Nitec Grade Point Average, you are guaranteed a spot in a polytechnic diploma course corresponding to your Higher Nitec course.
Eligible school candidates will receive Form N from their secondary schools, inviting them to apply for the DPP. The applications for the DPP are open for submission online via the ITE application portal from 2.30 pm on Monday, 18 December 2023, until 5.00 pm on Thursday, 21 December 2023.
Excitement and anticipation build as the DPP posting results are set to be unveiled at 2.00 pm on Friday, 22 December 2023. You can effortlessly check the posting results online through the ITE application portal. If you happen to be one of the fortunate candidates to receive a DPP offer, you will need to log in to the ITE application portal between 2.00 pm on Friday, 22 December 2023, and 11.59 pm on Wednesday, 27 December 2023, to accept or reject the DPP offer.
For those who do not receive a confirmed place in the DPP, a return to secondary school for Secondary 5 in 2024 awaits.
