American Goulash

Here’s a kid-friendly recipe for American Goulash:

Ingredients:
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1 small onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
– 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
– 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
– 2 cups beef broth
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is softened.

2. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, uncooked macaroni, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the macaroni is tender, stirring occasionally.

4. Once the macaroni is cooked, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top. Cover and let it sit for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.

5. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve.
