Asian Orange Chicken
Here’s a kid-friendly recipe for Asian orange chicken:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water

Instructions:
- Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and toss with 1/2 cup of cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Stir in the cornstarch-water mixture and continue to simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet and toss to coat with the orange sauce.
- Serve the Asian orange chicken over cooked rice and garnish with sliced green onions.
