Cheese Hotdog
Here’s a simple and kid-friendly recipe for Cheese Hotdogs that you can make together with your little ones.
Ingredients:
- 4 hotdog sausages
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or your favorite type)
- 4 hotdog buns
- Ketchup and mustard (optional)
- Pickles or other toppings (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Hotdogs:
- If you’re using uncooked hotdogs, boil them in a pot of water for about 5-7 minutes until heated through. If they’re pre-cooked, you can skip this step or just warm them up.
- Add the Cheese:
- While the hotdogs are cooking, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Once the hotdogs are heated, place a slice of cheese on top of each hotdog. You can fold the cheese if it’s too big.
- Melt the Cheese:
- Place the hotdogs on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Assemble the Hotdogs:
- Take the hotdogs out of the oven (be careful, it’s hot!).
- Place each cheesy hotdog into a bun.
- Add Toppings:
- Let your kids add their favorite toppings like ketchup, mustard, or pickles.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Serve the cheese hotdogs warm and enjoy your delicious creation!
Tips:
- You can also add some veggies like diced tomatoes or shredded lettuce for extra flavor and nutrition.
- Make it fun by letting your kids decorate their hotdogs with different toppings!
Enjoy your cheesy hotdog making!
