Cheesy Baked Tortellini & Meat Sauce
Here’s a kid-friendly recipe for Cheesy Baked Tortellini & Meat Sauce:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound cheese tortellini
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the marinara sauce to the skillet with the ground beef and stir to combine. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked tortellini, meat sauce, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve.
