Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow dish, mix together the breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing it onto the chicken to adhere.
- Place the coated chicken breasts on a greased baking sheet and spray the tops with cooking spray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is crispy.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and top each chicken breast with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve the chicken parmesan with pasta or a side salad.
