Chicken Sandwich
Here’s a simple and kid-friendly recipe for a chicken sandwich:
Ingredients:
– 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 1/2 cup plain yogurt
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 4 hamburger buns
– Lettuce leaves
– Sliced tomatoes
– Sliced cheese (optional)
– Mayonnaise (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
2. Cut the chicken breasts in half horizontally to make them thinner. Place the chicken in the marinade, ensuring it’s well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
4. Toast the hamburger buns lightly.
5. Assemble the sandwiches by placing a piece of lettuce on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a piece of chicken, tomato slices, and cheese if desired. Spread mayonnaise on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the sandwich.
6. Serve the chicken sandwiches with your kids’ favorite sides and enjoy!
