Here’s a kid-friendly recipe for easy aglio olio:

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, if using, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
  3. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the garlic-infused oil.
  4. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta and toss to combine. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the aglio olio to a serving dish and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
