Ham and Pineapple Pita Pizza

Here’s a kid-friendly recipe for Ham and Pineapple Pita Pizzas:

Ingredients:

  • 4 whole wheat pita bread
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1 cup diced pineapple
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: sliced black olives, sliced bell peppers, or any other favorite pizza toppings

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the pita bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Spread about 1/4 cup of pizza sauce onto each pita bread, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle each pita with about 1/3 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. Evenly distribute the diced ham and pineapple over the cheese.
  6. Sprinkle the dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper over the top of the pizzas.
  7. If desired, add any optional toppings like black olives or bell peppers.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the pita bread are crispy.
  9. Let the pizzas cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
