Kid-Friendly Chicken Alfredo

Here’s a kid-friendly recipe for Chicken Alfredo that’s easy to make and delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of cooked pasta (fettuccine or any pasta shape your kids like)
  • 1 cup of cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded (you can use rotisserie chicken for convenience)
  • 1 cup of heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

Cook the Pasta:

    • Boil water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Sauce:

      • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. If you’re using garlic, add it to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
      • Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally.

      Add Cheese:

        • Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce is smooth. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

        Combine Chicken and Pasta:

          • Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and stir to combine. Then, add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the Alfredo sauce.

          Season:

            • Taste the dish and add salt and pepper as needed.

            Serve:

              • Serve the Chicken Alfredo warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired. You can also sprinkle extra Parmesan on top for added flavor!

              Tips:

              • To make it even more fun, you can add some steamed broccoli or peas for a pop of color and nutrition.
              • Let your kids help with stirring or adding ingredients to make it a fun family activity!

              Enjoy your delicious Chicken Alfredo!
