Paneer Momos
Here’s a kid-friendly recipe for Paneer Momos:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup crumbled paneer (Indian cottage cheese)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 1/4 cup finely chopped carrots
- 1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum (bell pepper)
- 2-3 finely chopped green chilies (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro (coriander)
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon oil
- Salt to taste
- 20-25 round momo wrappers
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine crumbled paneer, chopped cabbage, carrots, capsicum, green chilies, cilantro, grated ginger, soy sauce, oil, and salt. Mix well to form a uniform filling.
- Take a momo wrapper and place a spoonful of the paneer filling in the center of the wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper in half to form a half-moon shape and pinch the edges together to seal the momo. You can also create pleats along the edge for a decorative touch.
- Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Steam the momos in a steamer for 8-10 minutes until the wrappers are cooked and the filling is heated through.
- Serve the paneer momos with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as soy sauce or a simple tomato-based chutney.
