Chicken Noodle Soup

Here’s a nutritious and kid-friendly chicken noodle soup recipe for your kid:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups chopped carrots
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
  2. Add the chicken breast to the boiling broth and let it cook for about 20 minutes or until fully cooked through. Remove the chicken and set it aside to cool.
  3. In the same pot, add the chopped carrots, celery, onion, and garlic. Let them simmer in the broth until they are tender.
  4. While the vegetables are cooking, shred the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Once the vegetables are tender, add the shredded chicken back into the pot.
  6. Stir in the dried thyme and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add the egg noodles to the pot and cook until they are al dente, following the package instructions.
  8. Once the noodles are cooked, remove the pot from the heat.
  9. Serve the chicken noodle soup hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
