Croque Madame

Ingredients:
- 8 slices of whole wheat bread
- 8 slices of ham
- 1 cup of grated cheese (cheddar or Gruyere)
- 4 eggs
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 1 cup of milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place 4 slices of bread on a baking sheet and top each with a slice of ham and a sprinkle of grated cheese.
- Place the remaining 4 slices of bread on top to make sandwiches.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk to make a roux.
