Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Here’s a kid-friendly recipe for slow cooker beef stew:

Ingredients:
– 1.5 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
– 4 carrots, peeled and sliced
– 4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
– 1 onion, chopped
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 3 cups of beef broth
– 1/4 cup tomato paste
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/4 cup water
– Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, mix together the flour and water to create a slurry. Set aside.
2. Place the beef stew meat, carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic in the slow cooker.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture over the meat and vegetables in the slow cooker.
4. Stir in the flour slurry to thicken the stew.
5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, or until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
6. Serve the beef stew hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
