Curry Samosa
Here’s a nutritious and kid-friendly curry samosa recipe for your child:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
- 1 cup cooked green peas
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 12-15 samosa wrappers
- Oil for frying
Steps to make curry samosas:
- In a pan, heat some oil and sauté the chopped onions and minced garlic until they turn translucent.
- Add the mashed sweet potatoes and green peas to the pan and mix well.
- Add the curry powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to the mixture and stir to combine all the ingredients. Cook for a few minutes until the flavors are well combined.
- Allow the filling to cool down to room temperature.
- Take a samosa wrapper and place a spoonful of the filling in the center.
- Fold the wrapper over the filling to form a triangle, then continue folding until you reach the end of the wrapper. Use a little water to seal the edges.
- Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the samosas and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the samosas from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
